General Assembly update

Momentum is building for the nearly 80 registered participants from over 40 schools, as we finalise preparations for the ECTE 2019 General Assembly in Rome, 28-30 November. The topic will focus on quality in theological education in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)and in the global ICETE network.

This is a great opportunity to dialogue around issues of quality assurance and accreditation with experts and peers. Particular attention will be given to the standards outlined in the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and to the newly released Standards and Guidelines for Global Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE, SG-GETE).
We are pleased to welcome among our guest speakers Melinda Szabo from the European Quality Assurance Register – EQAR who will be speaking to us about cross-border, subject-specific quality assurance in Europe.  The ECTE Council members will be leading the plenaries and focus groups in a key areas pertaining to the ESG.
Materials and resources from the General Assembly will be made available in December.
