Institutional Accreditation Application

General information

Institutional accreditation information

Is your institution a member of the ECTE?
Note: membership in the ECTE is the first phase in the accreditation process. If you are not an ECTE member, please apply http://ecte.eu/network/membership/
Is your institution/programmes accredited by other agencies?
Has your institution been in operation for at least three years and graduated at least one cohort of students in any one of your programmes?
This criterion is in place to ensure the stability of new institutions before entering the accreditation process and to generate evidence of the required standards over time. If you are a newly founded institution, contact office@ecte.eu for further guidance.
At what level(s) does the institution operate? *
At what level(s) will you seek ECTE accreditation? *
A separate application will need to be made for each programme once you have obtained institutional accreditation. The ECTE Qualification Framework can be found in Appendix A of the 'Standards and Guidelines' for ECTE accreditation.
Indicate the delivery modes in use in your institution
Please indicate more than one if applicable.
More information can be found in 'Guidelines for Distance and Online Education' (http://ecte.eu/qa/guidelines/).

Timeline

Following the approval of your institutional accreditation application, you will need to 1) produce an Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (I-SER) and 2) receive a site visit before 3) final accreditation approval. Please indicate approximate dates for each of these events (these are not final and will entail negotiation with the ECTE). Once you have institutional accreditation, you can initiate the procedures for programme accreditation. See more in 'Criteria and Procedures' for ECTE accreditation (http://ecte.eu/qa/procedures/).
