In 2017, the General Assembly voted to change the name of the organisation from the European Evangelical Accrediting Association (EEAA) to the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE).
This was done in order to meet the future challenges for evangelical theological education in Europe, in a newly re-developed and refocused vision that however maintained much of the organisation’s historical identity and mission. The new name of the organisation is the European Council for Theological Education that will include the work of resourcing, networking and accreditation.
The wording ‘formerly EEAA’ will appear on documents and certificates for a given time in order to facilitate continuity and transition.

I will like to accredit a theological Seminary – GRACE EVANGELICAL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY (GETS) with your Association. I’ll really appreciate your linking me with Dr. Graham Cheesman, my former lecturer at Samuel Bill Theological College, Abak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Thanks

It is good to hear from you. The ECTE normally does not do accreditation work in Africa as this is done by our sister organisation ACTEA. Can you explain the nature of your enquiry further please?
